Every spring for 71 years West View Park gave school
children, families and friends a place to go and play.
An unforgettable sight along Route 19 was the spectacular
hairpin turn of the Dips roller coaster. Often while driving,
you'd roll down the windows in anticipation of hearing high-pitched
screams and laughter as the roller coaster car raced around the
horseshoe curve.
Each drop of the Dips had its own distinctive thrill,
begging those who rode to hop back in line for yet another spin.
